Boring it in Brussels
first landed on Belgium soil 15th June 2011 when I infamously stayed on the bus to Germany by not getting off at Lille after the EuroTunnel Exit. I was forced to stay outside the Central Station and I ended up bashing a theif
Since then I had traveled across Belgium land 4 times in 24 months and each time I couldn’t be bothered stopping off because I either had to attend Headbangers Open Air in Hamburg, get a rad BJ in Amsterdam or go onto Hellfest.
I took a new brand of coached called IDbus. I had never heard of this brand of coaches as I had previously used Megabus or Eurolines to get around Europe.
I left Birmingham at 9 pm. I was very teary leaving Birmingham because I wasn't too sure if I was going to come back and work or just go back to Australia. I had spent 4 weeks on the British Isle and I haven’t traveled out of England in 3 weeks. It was my longest time spent: In the UK, in Birmingham and in the British Isles itself.
I slept inside Victoria Coach Station for the 2nd time in a week. I am getting really fond of this Coach Station. But it is starting to demise as they got arid of all the bloody power sockets and the Wi-Fi is nothing more but shit.
On the bus to Brussels as I left London at 7 am. I was at Dover toget on the Eurotunnel to Calais. I really prefer taking the ferry across to Calais as it just so awesome to put a pound in the jukebox and hear Whitesnake again.

I got off at Brussels Midi Station around 3 pm. I had to get a bus to Zurich from the Nord station. I tried to take a metro between the stations, but Brussels Metro Lines are so complicated. So I went by train.
As I took a train to Gare Nord Brussels. I saw a giant crown on top of a building. I could see the royal palace in the distance.
As I walked around the main street next to the station it was nothing more than a bloody dump. The streets of Brussels smelt like a urinal and it literally as. Not to mention the amount of hookers in the windows. It just doesn’t compare with Amsterdam.
By carrying around 2 bags, I was fatigued as I just didn't feel like sightseeing. If they had a Hop on Hop Off bus out the front I would have used it.
I just sat in the ugly Brussels Bus station talking to a Moroccan-Dane about travel and life. This guy was returning to Copenhagen. I wish I was going there too.
Yet again for a 2nd time in Brussels I didn't bother seeing anything at all. My Cousin Brendon told me that it’s pretty boring.
At 11 pm, I was on the Bus to Zurich. A trip I should have taken 2 years ago, but canned so I could go visit an awesome cousin of mine.
I wouldn’t dare stay a night in Brussels as it costs around $40AUD for a Hostel dorm bed.
