If I can pull myself out of the Australian Hellhole, I will basically end up in Europe with many chances to see any band I want. I canceled a trip to Manila in May 2016 so I could be living in the UK in time for the Metal Church show in London.
I just don’t want to be stuck in Melbourne living in a shared house (with tenants who are pigs) and cleaning Private School’s Kitchen’s when I should be renting a room in Birmingham and traveling up and down the UK motorway to see whatever Metal band I desire.
Having a clean house is a happy thing. But when you are one of 9 other men who share a 3 bedroom house in North Melbourne, things can get so damn messy. But if your not the one who makes the mess, then you don't have to deal with it. But you have to deal with these PIGS DAY IN DAY OUT.
When all you really wish you could be is to live in a house with a landlord and just be a human who clean up after himself.
17 months without travel would lead for me to go overseas three times during the course of 2015 and in doing so I would learn about freedom.
That 2 day trip to Port Moresby in 2015 was all about getting out of cleaning my Dad’s unit in Cairns with BLEACH into exploring a new nation that I had never been to. Two days of FUN in Papua New Guinea was better than staying home in Sydney waiting to return to work or spending more time with my Father.
I booked the cheapest flights to KLIA2 and Heathrow on Air Asia and London and I arrived back in the UK on the 13th of July 2015.
I was independent, I wasn’t living with my mother, I could find a better job and best of all I landed my own room in Birmingham in a 2 bedroom house with a guy that gave me a chance.
BUT I LOST MY FREEDOM AND INDEPENDENCE by going home.
I had to move back with my mother and brother as I wasn’t free enough to rent a room in Sydney.
I returned to the lady boss who yet again gave me no work for a week. By the end of January 2016 there was no work for 3 week. I had to travel to Cairns and Melbourne in this time frame so I could be free and not bored at home (with my annoying family) waiting for work in Sydney.
I left Australia again on the 22nd of April 2016 because of a few things
1) I didn’t want to live with my wanker brother
2) I didn’t want to be in Sydney when my Mum’s house was sold
3) Mum didn't approve of me wanting to move down the road and spend $200 a week on rent
4) I no longer wanted to work in that religious function centre in Sydney
5) I just wanted to be free and independent again
So since that day I have been free from my annoying middle aged brother, I am now living independently, I have hardly seen my Mother in 2016,I spent 80 days overseas in 2016 and I have been RENTING in Melbourne, so it makes me free again.
After a few months of hard work in the UK and I may end up visiting every nation in Europe without the need of flying!
To me it’s a matter of action over thought. One day you will get so bored in your life of living in Melbourne, Sydney, New York, London that you will just buy a ticket to anywhere in the world and just come back to your base when ready.
This is what got me back to Prague in May 2016 as well as my side trip to Auschwitz (before I got sick with the flu and had to return to the UK and live with my Cousin in Loftus).
But in all the times of living in a city I will just get so bored of walking the same streets every day that it’s no longer fun to live there anymore after maybe one month.
I left the UK on the day BREXIT won the vote. Even though I was sad to leave the UK again I was happy that I was flying back to South East Asia so I could put Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand on the map after I missed out on seeing them in January 2015.
When I return to the UK I will base myself in London so I can basically do any job that is in my grabs. I don’t care if I am living in Camden and my job is in Kent. It’s just as long as I got a hostel to live in and a job to go to that is all that matters with me.
Living in the UK to me is the Freedom Lifestyle. I am free enough to earn the best currency in the world and being “LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION”, I CAN go to wherever the hell I want. All just for being a UK resident with citizenship papers.
Since there is no Uzbek embassy in Canberra. It would meaning having to fly to Kuala Lumpur and spend a whole week or two waiting for an Uzbekistan visa in a city that I have been to 8 times.
When I live in Birmingham I can get the 5am bus to London and be at Holland Park with my Visa Application and passport ready to be submitted. I can then spend the rest of my day looking around London (AGAIN) before I get on the bus back to Birmingham.
If I said it once in 2014 that I would NEVER BE A DISHWASHER AGAIN, I could basically say the same thing again but just stick to my guns. When I want to run away from Australia, I have to be the guy that's got to find the place to rent so I don't have to spent 8 weeks going from house to house without a fixed address in the UK
"UPPER AND HIGHER TO NEXT LEVEL" is what I used to say when I was 20 years old making a 15 minute lego movie about a tower with many levels.
Well living in the UK (AND STAYING PUT THERE) is the NEXT LEVEL.
