I was outraged that I could go from Edmonton Green all the way to Brent Cross for £1.50 but one stop cost me the price of an expensive cup of Costa's Coffee
After work I took two buses to get back to my hostel where I checked in for a 2 week stay. I decided that In January 2018 I would avoid using the London Underground Service for a whole month and to see how much £££ I can save
So lets say Its a 8 mile journey between the hostel and my job. It takes 2 buses to get to work with a change in Tottenham Court Road. Because I transfer from one bus to another I only spend £1.50
In total I spent like £3 to get to work. the most you will spent in London (if you just take buses) is around £4.50. So £15 a week going to and from work on the bus.
Now another handy hack in London is that if you live near an OVERGROUND station, you pay less using it than the tube. So If I remember it costs like £1.50-1.70 each way between Seven Sisters and Liverpool Street
I must warn you all that the buses do tend to take longer to get there. I spent less than an hour getting to work, but then 2 hours getting home from work in the afternoon thanks to Traffic near Oxford Circus!
