So I just spent 80 days away from Australia in 2016. I left 22nd April 2016 and I returned 12th July 2016. In that 80 days away the majority of my time overseas was spent inside the UK Common Travel Zone.
If I am residing in the UK and living anywhere in: England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Guernsey and Jersey. Then I am off the road and not really traveling. If I wasn’t a citizen of the UK, then I guess this would all be considered traveling.
This was my longest time OVERSEAS. It was an extra 31 days longer than what I did last year.
According to my Calculations I spent 1 Day in Vietnam, 1 Day in Laos, 2 days in Cambodia, 1/2 Day in Myanmar, 6 days in Thailand, 9 days in Malaysia, 2 days in Czech Republic, 2 days in Poland and ½ a day in Ukraine. So in total I had only 24 days outside of the UK on the 80 days away from OZ.
The exciting thing I am going to tell you all is that I am going to go overseas again in November. It means I will spend the rest of 2016 away from Australia and have Christmas Day in England and NYE/NYD in Scotland.
I am going to head to Hong Kong in November where I will be able to leap into other Asian nations that I have never been to.
I am running out of countries in Southeast Asia and North East Asia to visit. I still got: Philippines, Hong Kong, Macau, Republic of Korea, DPR Korea, Taiwan, Japan and Mongolia to visit. But if I go through China then I have bigger fish to fry in CENTRAL ASIA.
The important thing is that I have bagged a bargain of a flight to get to Hong Kong. I won’t tell you how much it was, but it was cheaper than a return flight to New Zealand LOL
So I need to have another 2 week JAUNT in Asia before I go back to the UK and push my way back into boring UK Life. That I will probably last longer than my 50+ days I had in the UK.
Before I go overseas I’m going to see my mates band BASTARDIZER and HELLBRINGER support D666 in Sydney. I have only seen the Bastard and bringer of hell once in 2016.
In October I am split about deciding if I should see Queensryche in Sydney or Scorpions in Melbourne. I saw both bands in Europe in the last 5 years and if I don’t go to either gig, then I am not really missing out on anything
I got some amazing work offers coming up, once I move back to Sydney this week. But I am going to have to drop everything once early November comes around.
