I live in a dull environment. I am in a shared house with 9 other people. I shared a dormitory bedroom with 7 other blokes.
On some days it can be the best place to work on this website. On weekdays I would rather be putting my office skills to work inside the library.
Everyone knows by now that my LAPTOP needs to run on power as I can’t be bothered replacing its battery. So off to the local Library I go to edit my website, tweak a few things up online.
Once my 2 hours are up I feel like I have accomplished a few thing when on my mind I might be telling myself to check my business email, pay off those fees on my account and just make sure I have something new on my website
PUBLISHING BLOG POSTS ARE A PAIN IN THE ARSE
Updating my blog on my website is a pain in the arse. Sometimes when I click NEW POST or EDIT DRAFT POST, I just open up a new can of worms with an empty blog post or I am mistakenly in another old blog post when I don’t need to read it.
It’s a dumb idea for me to type up a new blog post on Weebly, because something bad could happen while writing and it's either my blog post hasn’t be saved or it's been saved and not published.
If I write out my blog post on MS WORD and do CUT & PASTE into Weebly, then I have just saved myself marginal errors because I have already drawn up the TEXT BOX and the PHOTO BOX. It’s like I am ready to roll.
WRITING BOOKS MEANS I HAVE TO HAVE THINK BACK SESSION
I did start writing a third Volume of “Journal of a Metalhead” but somewhere down the line I am stopping myself from wanting to write. When I am writing about my 3rd overseas trip from July/August 2012,
I need to think back to what I was doing at Headbangers Open Air and how I felt when certain bands were singing different songs.
So I need to have listening session of certain albums to remind myself of what I heard overseas and how I like that song.
But every day of the book I must think back to what I was doing 4 years ago and how I felt at 26.
I was probably angry at the time because I wasn’t chasing after my UK life dream, or I had fallen out with a New Zealander cousin or I got mad at a friend or I swore at someone in India.
If I can get a day’s journal entry done then all I am doing is just counting up the days till when my book is finished and I can sell it
SCROLLING OLD PAGES IS LIKE RIDING A NEVER ENDING WAVE
Each different page on my website may have different text and size format to my recent on. I may have created a crappy lower case title on a page back in 2014, but it has taken me until 2016 to sit down and go through every page.
I go through pages like a fine tooth comb, trying to find errors, spelling mistakes and outdated information. So if I have already written a page about Indonesia, but I end up going there next week. I then have to update the Indonesia country page on my website to let everyone know that I have been back there recent.
Visa requirements change at the drop of a hat. My websites getting thousands of people trying to do visa query on google. If I told you that in 2011 a Western Citizen could visit Morocco for 90 days, well chances are that 90 days is still a law intact.
Unlike how one time I went to Indonesia and it only cost me $10 for a 7 day VOA, than 2 years later it was $35 for a 30 day VOA. Now it’s visa free entry for most citizens
SOCIAL MEDIA TALK UP
Every day I feel like I got to post something on my Facebook page just to gain attention. I may be eating a nice tub of ice cream or a wicked meal in an Afghan restaurants and all what I want to do is just tell people by taking a photograph of the Ice Cream Tub while promoting the brand on Facebook.
I am surprisingly bringing in New LIKES to my page a few times a month all because I have told the world about an event that has got something to do with music. But I am always going to throw down $7 on the table in the help that I can get more LIKES or BOOK SALES
Life is tough, 2 years ago I only had fanbase of 40 Facebook like and 3 YouTube subscribers. Now I got 11 YouTube Subscribers and 168 Facebook likes
There are some days that I am too lazy to check Twitter because all I am going to see are boobs pic from past and future flares of mine and that is going to distract me.
If I can say anything on Twitter it’s going to be about giving a thumbs up to something on YouTube.
