You find the band you listen to them heaps of times you see them in concert, you meet them. Then suddenly in life you just don't care about them anymore. You lose interest in listening to their music but the good news is you find an interest in Cult bands who only ever put out 2-3 records and every song just makes you play it on a loop.
Here's are a list of bands that i no longer care about and reason way
Metallica. Over popular and don't start me on the first 3 record because there were mean Thrash albums in 1983-6 if you ask me.
Megadeth The first record is a gem of thrash but they are just too out there
Slayer. I stopped caring about Slayer when a friend introduced me to Exciter, Razor & whiplash and those bands get no main stage slots. My friend also thinks slayer is boring and would rather listen to exciter
Lamb of god. I was into Lamb of god for a year and then i understood that Metalcore Sucks
Lacuna Coil. Everyone in that band is a douche and they even have the ego to hire security guard at their instore and their roadie was a prick to me. PS GOTH METAL BLOWS!
Morbid Angel. It was die hard feeling seeing Morbid angel in 2009 with a new song and a new guitarist but for what happened in 2010, 2011 I'm not even going to bother listening to anything with that name. My vest has a big space where there used to be a Morbid Angel patch
Sepultura. I wouldn't even pay 10 euros or 3 million rial to see Sepultura anywhere. Still the Bestial Devastation EP Rules my doorway but anything done after "Beneath the Remains" is just money seeking stuff.
Machine Head. Boring please bring me a VIO-LENCE record and a Reunion for all. Machine Head are not thrash.
Trivium. To be honest i did see Trivium 4 years ago but i thought they were like a Thrash band but for what i saw they belong in the trash
Slipknot. Slipknot where one of the many bands who helped me get away from retarded music between the years 2005-2008 but after seeing slipknot in 2008 I was over the whole Fad.
Children of Bodom. Saw them once in 2008 and just god awful mistake. That's not death metal in my books and Melodic Death Metal isn't Death Metal, its just a genre that makes you popular
WASP. They lip-synced the Crimson Idol album at their Sydney gig and they still do it so I'm sticking with Elton John's opinion on Lip syncing.
Queensryche. I had basically given up on Queensryche since Geoff Tate gained a few KG, became bald and grew a beard and made his band put out a rock album. Now that Tate is out of the band, I am glad that they hired/stole Todd La Torre from Crimson Glory
Mike Portnoy. Too much of a personality freak i couldnt care what band he plays in now. He wanted to Leave Dream theater in 1997 because of Label issues but he just stuck it out for another 13 years. If he folded then the rest of Dream Theater could have folded as well but they stuck together
Bands that have made me look deep into the music. These are the bands that i do care about and im willing to go see where.
Crimson Glory. Brilliant Prog/Power metal band from Florida, put out 2 master piece records before folding after a crappy Atlantic Records roll of the dice. But they were back together in honour of Midnight RIP
Virgin Steele. They got to play with Riot, Manowar, Krokus and they never got to the level those bands were on. Brilliant back catalog.
Malice. Took 23 years to shred out some new material but god so awesome.
Vicious Rumours. A band that has been throwing the iron fist at the music industry since 1979 led by Geoff Thorpe. They were on Atlantic Records until the label told them they sucked But that was the industries opinion not the peoples opinion
FIST (AKA MYOFIST) a cult band from Canada took 30 something years to play a gig in Europe and when they arrived at their signing at HOA people had their old records out to be signed
Omen. They had 4 amazing records out on Metal Blade back in the day but nobody but metalhead die hards were buying. They have a new record out to smash
any band that was from the NWOBHM period. Any cult metal band that came out of the UK in 1979-1983 is a legend in the eyes of a European metalhead. Black rose, Tank, Demon, Praying Mantis, Pagan Altar, Samson, Quartz you name its their allot more interesting than Metallica.
Savatage. They never became a popular band but people grew up on them and Metalheads who focus more on their own music have been influenced by Criss Oliva RIP.
Blacksmith. Where was the blacksmith fans in the media in 1989? They were all underground or in the attic promoting this band somehow. Brilliant to see those guys back together as they did kick some serious ass at Headbangers
If your a Metal band that put out an album or 2 in the 80s and went NOWHERE and didn't make a penny id give you a listen.
